Next-generation infrastructure as code with Inmanta
Bart Van Brabant, Tuesday, February 7 , 14:00 - 14:40 , B.CON
Inmanta is a new tool that combines orchestration and configuration management. It takes infrastructure as code to the next level, by bringing well-established software engineering concepts to infrastructure management. Inmanta infrastructure code starts from your application or service and its requirements, and manages it all the way down to your infrastructure, whatever it is: serverless, containers, cloud or servers and switches, or even your existing tools such as Puppet and Ansible. It is based on 10 years of research at the KU Leuven and the best thing is, it is now open-source (https://github.com/inmanta)!
Bart Vanbrabant is the CTO of Inmanta, a KU Leuven spinoff. Inmanta offers an end-to-end orchestration tool for automated deployment and management of both software services and network infrastructures, across vendors and technologies. Before his role as CTO, Bart worked as a researcher at the KU Leuven where he obtained a PhD on managing large-scale distributed systems.
